The need for financial help is different for each hospice patient and their families. Your financial support of TrinityCare Hospice Foundation provides for the following programs:
  • Patient Care Services — TrinityCare Hospice Foundation offers every patient expert hospice care regardless of their ability to pay. Services include nursing, physician, social work, spiritual care, volunteer and bereavement services, personal care, pharmaceuticals, medical equipment and supplies. In certain circumstances, we offer practical assistance to help pay rent, phone and other utility bills, buy food, clothing, medical supplies and medication. Financial assistance with funeral expenses is also available.
  • Palliative Care — Palliative care is a specialty which grew from the expertise that hospice had already developed in pain and symptom management. This interdisciplinary approach provides access to expert pain and symptom control to patients with advanced illness at any time in the course of treatment, assistance with decision making, and care of emotional, spiritual and family issues. Palliative care is complementary to all other appropriate medical treatment.
  • TrinityKids Care — Provides comfort, care and support to children with life-limiting illnesses and their families, and is the first pediatric program of its kind in the Greater Los Angeles area. The Interdisciplinary Team consists of the Medical Director who works closely with the child’s primary physician, registered nurse, social worker, non-denominational chaplain, home health aide, and a trained volunteer. TrinityKids Care accepts all children regardless of their parents’ ability to pay for services.
  • The Gathering Place — Located in the Beach Cities Health District offices in Redondo Beach, The Gathering Place addresses the needs of people in the community who are experiencing a loss either through death of a loved one or through a life-changing event. It provides programs and services free of charge that include but are not limited to the following: Drop-In Center, Support Groups including: KIDS CAN (4-13 Years), Teenage Grief, Adult Loss of Parent, Loss of Spouse, Loss of Child, Short-Term Grief Counseling and others.
  • Bereavement Services — A program of TrinityCare Hospice provides guidance and support to help patients and their family members cope with the multitude of losses that occur during the illness and eventual death of the patient. Upon the patient’s death, a bereavement staff member is assigned to the family. To promote recovery and healing, this staff person and/or a trained bereavement volunteer stays involved with our families for 13 months following the patient’s death.
  • Staff Development — TrinityCare Hospice is committed to being the “employer of choice” in the hospice and palliative care field. We are accomplishing this by recruiting and retaining highly- qualified employees and offering professional development to advance careers through mentorship program, peer support and professional certifications.
Your gift will support the following activities:
  • $250 will pay for funeral expenses
  • $150 will pay for a day of hospice care
  • $100 will pay for utilities for a month
  • $75 will pay for a month of medical equipment rental
  • $40 will pay for a week of food for a patient
  • $15 will pay for one day of medicine

Your contributions of time, money, stock, property, vehicles, etc. make a substantial difference to terminally ill patients and their families who are in need. The work of TrinityCare Hospice Foundation remains a vital service for patients and families in accepting and preparing for a loved one's impending death. Without your commitment, investment, and financial support, TrinityCare Hospice Foundation wouldn't be what it is today. For that, our sincere thank you.
