As the only pediatric hospice in Los Angeles County, TrinityKids Care understands the impact a seriously ill child can have on the life of a family. A specialized division of TrinityCare, TrinityKids Care helps children with life-limiting illnesses leave the hospital in order to spend as much time as possible at home with their families.
Our team of pediatric specialists works closely with parents, guiding them and helping them make the best decisions for both themselves and their child. Comprised of a pediatrician, a registered nurse, a clinical social worker, a chaplain, a home health aide and specially trained volunteers, the TrinityKids Care team strives to fulfill the needs of each patient and their family.
Meeting the unique needs of each patient and their family.
TrinityKids Care offers numerous services to meet these needs. For the patient, nurses help ease pain, manage symptoms and provide end-of-life comfort care. Team members are on-call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, providing the utmost support, advice and comfort.
In addition to providing emotional and spiritual support for the patient and their family, team members offer practical support: from household chores to delivery of care-equipment to looking after siblings. Family counseling and grief and bereavement services are available to all family members - with special emphasis placed on helping siblings who may have a hard time understanding what is happening around them.
TrinityKids Care accepts all children regardless of their parents' ability to pay for services. Care for uninsured or under-insured children is paid for by TrinityCare Hospice Foundation.
